If you don't have anything to read at the moment you should definitely read the Selection Series by Kiera Cass. These books take place in a world where every person is put into a Caste. A caste is the position you are in that world.
  1. Royalty/Clergy
  2. Celebrities/ Professional Athletes/ Politicians
  3. Educators of any kind/Inventors/Scientist
  4. People who own small businesses(like real estate, jewelry makers, head chef)
  5. Musicians/Actors/Performers/Artist
  6. Wait staff/Housekeepers/Drivers
  7. Almost all outdoor workers(like farm hands, construction workers)
  8. Homeless
When the Prince is old enough to get married there is a contest called The Selection. In the selection women are picked from the castes and the one who wins becomes queen and wife to the prince. America Singer is a Five who enters the Selection as the only lower class girl. These books are similar to Hunger Games and the Bachelor.

The Selection
For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon.
But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.
Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself—and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

The Elite
In America Singer’s world, a bride is chosen for the prince through an elaborate, televised competition. In The Elite, America is one of only six girls left in the running. But is it Prince Maxon—and life as the queen—that she wants? Or is it Aspen, her first love?

The One
The Selection changed America Singer's life in ways she never could have imagined. Since she entered the competition to become the next princess of IllĂ©a, America has struggled with her feelings for her first love, Aspen—and her growing attraction to Prince Maxon. Now she's made her choice . . . and she's prepared to fight for the future she wants.

Review for City of Bones

Summary
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing—not even a smear of blood—to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know...

Cassandra Clare's book, City of Bones, lets us on the insight of a new world where one girl discovers who she truly is. If you saw the movie and haven't read the book let me tell you now you are missing out. This book contains everything a YA novel stands for drama, romance, action, and suspense. It encompasses a magical world that humans are not aware of. Clare has given each character their own unique personality. Clary is a "mundane" that most would overlook for her innocent looks but tries to live up to her real identity. Simon, Clary's best friend, is mundane, who would do anything for her. Even if it means delving into a new world with dangers he has never even heard of. Jace is a Shadowhunter, who is too cocky for is own good, but believes its his duty to protect anyone he loves at any cost.  Isabelle is a tall beautiful Shadowhunter that can bring any demon to his death with just her looks and her whip. Alec the brother of Isabelle gets jealous when Jace starts paying more attention to Clary than any other girl he has met before. I recommend this book to anyone who hearts books like I heart books. Which is A LOT.

The Insides of a Quote

This quote speaks the truth about people who have the enchantment to read. There is a difference between liking a book and loving it. The one who loves to read becomes the character and lives in that world. And not just one realm, but thousands.
